A Short Biography In Loving Memory of :

Louise Holloway Johnson Thomas

May 18, 1934 - June 23, 1995

She was born in Strangers, TX to Sam and Rena Holloway. She was the seventh of ten children but the fifth daughter born.

When she was around 8 years of age the family move to Marlin, TX. It is there were she attended Commerce St School.

Louise gave her life to Christ at an early age and became a member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

Se gave birth to 10 children.  The first was by her first husband, James Johnson.  The second by Mr. D. Davis and the remaining eight by her second husband, Charlie Earl Thomas.

Later in life she became a nursing aide being employed at Golden Years Nursing Home and Elmwood Nursing Home.

What we loved most about our mother was that she was very loving and caring. Not only did she care about her family, but she also cared for others as well. She would take in other children and raise them as if they were her on.

After working the long late night shifts, she would come home before resting and prepare a big meal which we all would welcome and enjoy.

Mom instilled that same passion in her girls and they are carrying that compassionate torch in them this very day.

Mom's legacy is continuing to grow from 10 children, she has 19 grandchildren, 25 great grand children and 5 great-great grand with more on the way.

We miss you and we love you...The Family.
